Custom values are reusable, dynamic placeholders in your Gym Growth Engine that automatically insert your gym’s information—like your gym name, address, sales rep, or challenge details—into texts, emails, forms, and automations.
⚠️ Updating a custom value updates every location it appears in—saving time and ensuring consistency across your communication.

Instead of editing your gym name, challenge title, or address in 15+ emails and SMS templates, you:

✅ How to Access Custom Values
- Log in to your GoHighLevel sub-account
- Go to the bottom-left menu and click Settings
- Scroll down and click Custom Values under the “Other Settings” section
📋 Custom Values You Need to Update
Here’s a breakdown of the key fields you'll want to complete:
1. Gym Name
Your gym’s public name (e.g., ABC Fitness Center)
🧠 Used in: Emails, SMS, forms, booking pages
2. Gym Address
Your full physical address
🧠 Used in: Appointment reminders and Google Maps links
3. Gym Owner Name
Your name as the business owner
Can be full name or just first name (e.g., Alex or Alex Morgan)
4. Appointment Setter Name
The name of the person confirming appointments
💡 Can be the same as sales rep or someone on your team
5. Sales Rep Name
The name of the person who will take sales calls
Use first name only (e.g., Jordan)
🧠 Used to personalize text/email reminders
6. Challenge Name
The specific challenge you’re running
Examples:
- 6-Week Transformation Challenge
- Free 4-Week Fit Bootcamp
🧠 Used in: Lead nurture texts, emails, landing pages
7. Challenge Price
Full-price value of your challenge (e.g., 599, 899)
💡 Note: This is for internal use only—it won’t be shown to leads
8. Challenge Scheduling Link
This is the calendar link where leads will book appointments.
To get your link:
- Go to Calendars in GHL
- Find your Challenge Orientation Calendar
- Click the three dots → Share
- Copy the Permanent Booking Link
- Paste it into the Challenge Scheduling Link field
🧠 Used in: Missed booking reminders, lead follow-ups
9. Google Maps Link
Copy your gym’s Google Maps share link, not the browser URL.
To get it:
- Go to Google Maps
- Search your gym
- Click Share
- Copy the shortened link
- Paste into the Google Maps Link field
🧠 Used in: Appointment reminders
10. Location Description
A short, descriptive blurb that helps people find your gym.
Not the address—think landmarks and visual cues.
Example:
“We’re across from the Town Rec Center, next to Starbucks.”
OR
“Located inside Westbrook Plaza, second floor above Anytime Fitness.”
🧠 Used in: Day-of appointment reminders to increase show-up rates
✏️ How to Edit a Custom Value
- Click the three dots next to the value
- Select “Edit Custom Value”
- Enter the updated info in the Value field
- Click Update
🔁 You can return and change these values anytime as your team, offers, or gym location evolve.
🔄 When to Revisit Custom Values
- You rebrand or rename your gym
- You switch your sales rep
- You launch a new challenge
- You update your calendar availability
- You move locations
