After connecting your Facebook Lead Form to GoHighLevel, it’s critical to verify that the integration is working correctly—so your leads don’t disappear and your automations trigger properly.   This guide walks you step-by-step through how to test your lead form and confirm that contacts are flowing into GHL as expected.

 

🛠️ Before You Begin

Make sure:

  • Your Facebook Page and Lead Form are connected under Settings → Integrations in GoHighLevel

  • Your form has been published on Facebook

  • You’ve mapped fields between Facebook and GHL (if applicable)

  • Your automations or workflows are set up in GoHighLevel (optional but recommended)

🔍 Step 1: Submit a Test Lead via Facebook’s Lead Ads Testing Tool

Facebook has a built-in testing tool to simulate lead submissions.

  • Select:

  • The Facebook Page associated with your form

  • The Lead Form you want to test

  • Click “Create Lead” to simulate a test submission.

  • Once submitted, click “Track Status” to confirm Facebook sent the data.

📥 Step 2: Check for the Lead in GoHighLevel

Now that the form has been submitted:

  • Log into your GoHighLevel account

  • Go to the correct Sub-Account (location)

  • Navigate to “Contacts” in the left-hand menu

  • Search for the test lead’s name, phone number, or email

If the test lead shows up here, your integration is working ✅

🧪 Step 3: Test Your Automation (If Using)

If you have a workflow or automation set up to trigger when a new lead comes in:

  • Go to Automation → Workflows

  • Find your workflow (e.g., "New Facebook Lead Follow-Up")

💡 Tip: Add yourself as the test lead with a real email/phone to test email or SMS responses.

If your test lead doesn’t appear in GHL, here’s what to check:

  • Go to Settings → Integrations and make sure Facebook is connected properly

  • Reconnect if needed and allow all permissions

🧩 Form Mapping

  • Make sure the lead form is mapped to your GHL account under Settings → Facebook Form Field Mapping

🧼 Clear Old Test Leads

  • Go back to the Facebook testing tool and click “Delete Lead” before submitting again

  • Facebook only allows one test lead per form at a time

To ensure everything is working:

  • Lead appears under Contacts in GHL

  • Lead triggers any linked workflows/automations

  • You receive a notification, email, or SMS if that’s part of your setup
