Building a Master Program in Trainerize

This guide walks you through how to create a custom master program from scratch in Trainerize, allowing you to build structured training phases for clients such as a semi-private 12-week program.

Steps to Build a Master Program:

  1. Go to Programs Section:

    • Navigate to the “Master Libraries” tab in Trainerize.

    • Click “New Program.”

  2. Choose Program Source:

    • You can either:

      • Build a new program from scratch,

      • Import one from the Trainerize library, or

      • Duplicate one created by another trainer on your team.

  3. Name Your Program:

    • Example: “Semi-Private 12-Week”

  4. Program Type:

    • Choose “Phase Training Program.”

  5. Set Number of Phases and Duration:

    • You can structure your program in different ways:

      • 1 phase = 12 weeks

      • 2 phases = 6 weeks each

      • Choose whatever setup best suits your program goals.

  6. Progress Photo Prompts:

    • Optionally prompt clients to upload progress photos at the start and/or end of each phase.

  7. Save Location:

    • Choose whether to save it under:

      • “Personal” – for your use only

      • “Shared” – if other trainers should also access it

  8. Click Save:

    • Once saved, your master program is ready.

    • You can begin adding workouts in the next step.

Best Practices:

  • Always title your programs clearly based on the client type and duration (e.g., “Men’s Fat Loss 6-Week Phase 1”).

  • If collaborating with other trainers, use the Shared Library for better access.
