Help Doc: How to Use ChatGPT to Generate Custom Gym Contracts

This document walks you through the third option in setting up legal agreements for your gym: using ChatGPT to generate custom contract language tailored to your programs. Whether you're creating front-end challenge agreements, long-term memberships, or conversion contracts, this step-by-step guide helps you save time, reduce legal costs, and maintain professionalism.

Why Use ChatGPT for Contracts?

ChatGPT can serve as an interactive legal language assistant that asks questions based on your gym’s structure and needs—then builds draft contracts based on your responses. While this is not legal advice, it can serve as a fast and powerful tool to create legally-sound starting points for your agreements.

Your Three Options for Contracts:

  1. Ask the Community:
    Post in the Gym Lords Skool community to get contract samples from other gym owners. Many are willing to share!

  2. Use Provided Downloads:
    Download and edit the provided sample contracts (Front-End Program, Conversion Agreement, Membership Agreement) using the best practices from Part 1 of this series.

  3. Use ChatGPT to Build Contracts (this doc):
    The most customizable and scalable method using AI.

Step-by-Step: Building Contracts with ChatGPT

Step 1: Prepare the Prompt

  • Use the sample ChatGPT prompt provided in your course materials.

  • This prompt defines the three contract types and instructs ChatGPT to guide you through a Q&A process.

  • Be sure to copy and paste the full prompt (don’t skip any part).

Step 2: Open ChatGPT

  • Go to chat.openai.com

  • Log in and upgrade to ChatGPT Plus if needed to access GPT-4.

  • Paste your prompt and hit Send.

Step 3: Answer the Questions
ChatGPT will begin asking you structured questions about your gym’s offers, compliance requirements, cancellation policies, billing cadence, guarantees, and more.

✅ Example Prompts from GPT:

  • “What’s included in your front-end challenge?”

  • “What conditions must be met to qualify for a refund or credit?”

  • “What is your cancellation policy?”

Step 4: Refine the Responses
You can make edits during the process. If the response is missing something, simply reply:

“Can you add that clients must attend 3 sessions/week and follow the meal plan to qualify for a credit?”

ChatGPT will adjust the content in real time before moving to the next question.

Step 5: Complete and Export
Once you finish all the questions for the three contract types, ChatGPT will ask:

“Would you like to review or adjust the contracts, or are they ready for delivery?”

Reply with:

“They’re ready. Please deliver them as downloadable Word Docs.”

It will generate formatted contract text you can copy into your preferred document editor (Word, Google Docs, etc.).
