How to Alter a Default Program in Trainerize

Trainerize allows you to customize built-in programs—like the Six-Week Challenge—to better match your gym’s brand, schedule, and coaching style. This guide shows you how to duplicate, edit, and personalize a default program to fit your needs.

🧭 Step 1: Navigate to the Default Program

  1. From the Trainerize dashboard, go to Master Libraries → Programs

  2. Scroll to find the In-Person Six-Week Challenge (or any base program you want to customize)

📋 Step 2: Duplicate the Program

  1. Click the three dots next to the program name

  2. Select Duplicate Program

  3. Rename the copy to something unique (e.g., "Your Gym Name - Six Week Challenge")

📝 This copy is now yours to modify freely without changing the original.

✏️ Step 3: Edit Messages in the Calendar

  1. Click into your newly duplicated program

  2. Open the Calendar View

  3. Choose any message you'd like to edit (e.g., “One great thing this week”)

  4. Click Edit, then reword the message to your style:

Example:

  • Original: “One great thing this week”

  • Edited: “What is one win that happened this week? 😊”

  1. Click Save to lock in your updates

Now your participants will receive messages that reflect your tone and coaching approach.

🏃 Step 4: Add Custom Activities

Want to personalize the schedule? You can add new tasks directly into the program.

Example: Add a Walking Habit

  1. Navigate to a Saturday in the program calendar

  2. Add a message or habit:
“10 minutes of walking every Saturday 🚶”

  3. Set it to repeat weekly for all 6 weeks

🎯 This helps reinforce habits and structure in your challenge timeline.
