Launch Guide: Your First Gym Growth Campaign

Welcome to your first week of lead generation! In this guide, you'll learn how to launch your first Facebook and Instagram ad campaign using the exact structure, creative, and copy that’s generating thousands of leads at cost-effective rates for our clients.

We’ve battle-tested this system, and by following it step-by-step, you’ll be setting your gym up for real growth. Let’s dive in.


🛠️ Step 1: Create Your Campaign

Campaign Naming Format

Use this format for clarity and organization:

Example: 2025-06-20 – Leads – CBO – 21-Day Challenge


🧠 Note: This naming convention is purely for organization and doesn’t affect performance.

Campaign Settings

  • Campaign Objective: Leads

  • Advantage Campaign Budget (CBO): Turn ON

  • Daily Budget: Start with $25–$50/day

  • $50/day recommended for best results

  • Start small if testing, and scale once it works


🧩 Step 2: Ad Set Settings

Naming Convention

Name your ad set to reflect the audience:

Pure Cold – Women – 7mi Radius – Mobile


Settings Configuration

  • Conversion Location: Instant Forms

  • Facebook Page: Make sure the correct page is selected

Schedule Your Ad

  • Start Time: Set for 4:00 AM the next day

  • Avoid launching in the afternoon; it forces Facebook to burn budget inefficiently before midnight.


Audience Targeting

  • Location: Your gym's address with a 7-mile radius

  • Adjust radius depending on population density

  • People: Select “People living in this location”

  • Age Range: 21–57 years old

  • Gender: Women

  • Placements: Select Manual Placements, then choose:

  • ✅ Facebook Feed

  • ✅ Instagram Feed

  • ✅ Facebook Stories

  • ✅ Instagram Stories

  • ❌ Uncheck everything else to avoid wasting spend


🎨 Step 3: Ad Creation

Start with One Ad

  • Click into the default “Ad 1”

  • Rename it to: Creative 1

Add Creative & Copy

  • Image/Video: Upload the ad creative template provided

  • Primary Text: Paste the pre-written ad copy

  • Headline: Use the headline provided in your creative pack

🛠️ Your creative and copy pack contains everything you need. Just paste and go!


➕ Step 4: Duplicate for Testing

You’ll want to test multiple visuals with the same messaging.

Here’s How:

  • Click on Creative 1

  • Click the three dots, then “Quick Duplicate”

  • Duplicate 2 more times, so you have:

  • Creative 1

  • Creative 2 – Replace the image

  • Creative 3 – Replace the image again

⚠️ Keep copy and headline the same across all 3 ads. Only the image should vary.


🚫 Avoid This Mistake

Do not mix different copies within the same ad set.
If you want to test alternate copy:

  • Duplicate the entire ad set

  • Replace the ad creative with the new copy

  • You’ll now have two ad sets, each testing three ads with different creative or copy

Note: If you run more ad sets, be sure to increase your daily budget accordingly.
