Looking Up and Managing Client Profiles in Trainerize

Trainerize makes it simple to search for clients, view their progress, and manage their data—all from one dashboard. This guide shows you how to efficiently look up a client, view detailed metrics, and engage with them through your AI-enhanced Trainerize setup.

🔍 Step 1: Quick Client Search

There are two easy ways to find a client:

📌 Option 1: Use the Global Search Bar

  1. At the top of your dashboard, click the search icon.

  2. Begin typing the client’s name (e.g., “Abby”).

  3. You’ll see a dropdown of matching clients across all coaches.

    • Choose the correct client/trainer pairing if there are duplicates.

  4. Click the client’s name to open their profile.

This is the fastest way to access a specific client directly.


📌 Option 2: Use the Clients Tab

  1. From your main navigation menu, click Clients.

  2. You'll see a list of all clients assigned to you (or that you have visibility on).

  3. Use filters to:

    • Narrow by trainer

    • Search by name

  4. Click the client's name to open their profile.


📊 Step 2: Review Key Client Metrics

Inside a client profile, you’ll see detailed data pulled in by Trainerize and your AI integrations, including:

  • Nutrition Compliance

  • Workout Frequency

  • App Check-in Activity

  • Badges Earned

  • Caloric Burn vs. Intake

  • Step Count

  • Sleep Data

Example: Abby burned 1,800 calories yesterday and consumed 1,436—she’s in a caloric deficit, which is great to see.

Use these insights to quickly evaluate a client’s progress and adjust their program as needed.


💬 Step 3: Engage and Communicate

  • Click the message icon to send a direct message.

  • Use messaging for:

    • Accountability check-ins

    • Praising milestones

    • Asking clarifying questions (e.g., low workout intensity)

This builds trust and keeps clients engaged without leaving the dashboard.


📱 Step 4: View the Client App from Their Perspective

To see exactly what your client sees:

  1. Click “Client View” or the corresponding icon in their profile.

  2. You’ll be able to preview:

    • Assigned workouts

    • Daily goals

    • Caloric burn vs. intake

    • Scheduled tasks (e.g., nutrition logs, weigh-ins)

    • Progress tracking widgets

This ensures your programming is client-friendly and intuitive.


📅 Step 5: Track Long-Term Data

Scroll to the Steps or Sleep sections to:

  • View daily logs

  • Analyze monthly trends

  • Spot patterns over time

Example:

“Abby’s step count jumped to 13,000 yesterday—exactly what we want to see as she builds consistency.”

You can do the same with:

  • Sleep quality

  • Progress photos

  • Workout ratings

  • Habit compliance
