Setting Up Auto-Messages and Events in Trainerize
Trainerize includes a built-in automation system that sends messages and reminders to your clients based on specific events—like when they sign in, complete an activity, or hit a milestone. This guide shows you how to access, customize, and optimize auto-messages and event settings to match your coaching style and brand voice.
⚙️ Step 1: Access Auto-Messages & Events

In Trainerize, click Settings in the sidebar.

Navigate to “Auto-Messages and Events.”
Here, you’ll see a list of default automated messages—like the welcome email and milestone triggers (e.g., birthday messages or first cardio workout).
✉️ Step 2: Customize the Welcome Message
By default, the system sends a welcome message when a new client logs in.

You can edit this message to reflect your tone, brand, or specific instructions.

Example default:
“Welcome to the family! Be sure to follow your meal plan and invite friends to join the challenge!”
✅ You can adjust this to fit your challenge structure, tone of voice, or onboarding steps.
📄 Step 3: Add a Waiver or PAR-Q Form
You can attach your own waiver or PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) to the welcome email.

Use this to collect essential health and liability info before clients begin workouts.

📝 Step 4: Customize the E-Consultation Form
Trainerize also sends a built-in E-Consultation Form by default. It asks for:

🎉 Step 5: Customize Event-Based Auto-Messages
Other key automations include:

Use the customize button to tweak any message. You can also decide which messages should be turned On or Off based on your coaching workflow.
